When baby is first born, he is covered in a creamy and waxy substance called vernix. New researches point to the fact that vernix has the property of immunity, and that it strengthens the immunity system of the newborn baby, and provides a protective layer on his skin following the birth. This provides a great advantage in particular to babies born in hospital who may be exposed to hospital-acquired infections. Additionally, vernix has good moisturizing qualities and helps keep your baby’s skin soft and supple. Newborn babies cannot adjust their body temperatures. A baby removed from his mother for bathing may need to spend more energy to maintain his body temperature. You’ll see that he falls asleep easier and sleeps longer. I’ll be demonstrating this topic and giving you some tips here.
